Be Yourself part 1

If I could only tell people on thing about "theology" I would tell them the ultimate truth of the universe: "The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand" (John 3:35). But that truth comes to manifestation only when you understand that YOU are the Son in question. When you understand your true identity; the inner man, the hidden man of the heart... Jesus. So if I could only tell people TWO things about "theology" the other thing would be this: Be yourself. To me, that's about as important as it gets. Because if you run around like a chicken with your heard cut off trying to be someone you're not--trying to fit into a religious box--then you will rob yourself of the gift you've been given. You will rob yourself of the LIFE you've been given. I say this all the time: No one can live Jesus' life except Jesus. Well... when something is true the reverse is often true as well. Nobody can life YOUR life except YOU. Look at Psalm 139:14, "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." You are not an accident. And the YOU that you are is not an accident. God created you on purpose, for purpose, and by purpose. He didn't just throw a bunch of random ingredients together and hope for the best. You are not an accident. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. And that IS an amazing reason to praise Him, but that's not my focus right this second. My focus right this second is on getting you to see yourself as you truly are. You're a miracle. Believe it or not. And you are necessary. You can reach people in ways that nobody else can. You can reach PEOPLE that nobody else can. But not if you're denying yourself in order to try to be someone you're not. Not if you're hiding your light under a bushel, so to speak. I don't know why but it seems like we're so afraid of the things that make us unique. We are so interested in fitting in, when we were made to stand out. Romans 12:2 says it like this, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Be NOT conformed. Which means we have already been brought OUT of this world. It doesn't say, "GET transformed." It says, "BE transformed." Into what you've already been transformed into. It's the same warning given to the people of Israel to not go back to Egypt. And in fact, God parted the Red Sea in front of them, and then closed it up behind them. It took a miracle to get out of bondage. And the way back was closed. Of course, I'm not saying people DON'T go back. If they didn't, there would be no need for a warning not to. I'm simply saying... upward and Godward. When you BE transformed by the renewing of your mind, you're still you. You just do what you do to prove the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. You do what you do as unto Him. My example is myself, and my writing. I used to write what my grandma referred to as, "trash." Now I write Jesus Rants, and Jesus books. See? I'm still me... I'm just setting my sights a little higher. I'm just being who I REALLY am. Who I am in Christ. Who Christ is in me. That's the only way to truly live. To live is to love. To live is to give. Give yourself. BE yourself!
