Deeper and Wider part 2

I'm not sure why this is the case, but it seems to me that over 2,000 years after the move of God (that most people still seem to be waiting for) happened on the cross... we have still barely scratched the surface on what that move of God was, and what that move of God means. I wrote a whole book about it--Six Steps to the Throne--but even still I think there's so much more available to us than we realize. And, unfortunately, I think that's why we go through so much needless suffering. Just as an example, look at 1 Peter 2:24 (NLT), "He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed." And, as a quick aside, I think there is a definite connection between being dead to sin and being in divine health. But my point for today is, we use this verse when someone is sick, or hurt, or what have you. And we claim it over them so that they can "get" some healing. But it doesn't say, "You CAN be healed." It says, "You ARE healed." Past tense. And, listen, I get sick sometimes. I get headaches. I'm not fully walking in what I'm trying to present here. But that's what I'm trying to present. I believe there is so much more available to us than what we settle for. I believe that there are people who will NOT pass through the gates of physical death. Not all will sleep, but all will be changed, right? Stuff that we never really seem to get into that much. Like we're afraid of the implications. And, again, I think that's ok. I was associated with a pastor once who would tell people that he didn't really "get" the book of Revelation. So he left it alone. I think that's wisdom. I think there are things each of us are uniquely suited for. Things we understand... and things we don't. So if something's not for you... that's ok. You don't have to "get" it all, or know it all, to HAVE it all. The truth is the truth whether you know it or not. Whether you believe it or not. That's why I generally say its the truth you know (and believe) that sets you free and makes you free. I think when we begin to understand our unity with God--with LOVE--a lot of things we struggle with are going to just fade away. We'll be able to, as the book of Hebrews says, lay aside the sin (unbelief) and the weight that so easily besets us. I think its available to us. We have been given the gift of God. We perhaps haven't fully received it... but we DO have it. We have been blessed with all Spiritual blessings in the heavenly Christ. We have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. Jesus did it all so we could get it all. We have it all. Everything we could ever need has already been provided for us. We are the Son of the King, but we live like beggars. We come to God with our hands out, begging Him for scraps when He already prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemies. A six-course meal called the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (Crucified, Died, Buried, Quickened, Raised, Seated). That was the move of God. That was God not only telling us, but SHOWING us, what love really is. Laying your life down for your friends. Giving everything you have and everything you are. But, like I always say, you can't give what you don't have. So its vitally important to know what you DO have--LOVE!
