Eyes and Ears part 4

There are three things that dictate how we perceive our world: Our eyes, our ears, and our heart. And really... it's just the heart. The eyes of the heart. The ears of the heart. Seeing and hearing love. But the problem comes when we don't follow our heart. When, as Jesus said, "...in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them" (Matthew 13:14-15). Guys... there's seeing, and there's SEEING. There's hearing... and there's HEARING. We can look AT people, and we can see their actions, and we can judge according to appearance. Or we can look IN people and we can see the same Jesus--the same light, the same LOVE--inside them that's inside us. We can hear the wind, and the earthquake, and the fire... or we can listen to the still small voice of the Lord. It's all about going a little bit deeper. Not getting stuck on surface stuff. Not judging according to appearance, but judging righteous judgment. Knowing the truth--That the Father loveth the Son and hath given all things into His hand... that Daddy loves you--allows us to use that truth as the Rock that we build everything else on. Love is the filter that allows us to perceive things correctly. The heart is what allows us to UNDERSTAND things. And probably the biggest thing we need to see, and hear, and understand is, "...that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). With Spiritual eyes and ears we can see the bigger picture. We don't have to get crushed when things go "bad." Because we know that even if it looks "bad," or sounds "bad," it's working together for good. We can move out of the appearance realm of good and evil and into the invisible, eternal realm of LIFE. Jesus is the visible face of the invisble God (who is love). Jesus is what God really looks like. What LOVE really looks like. And when we can SEE Him--everywhere, in every situation and every person--then we can see things clearly. When we can hear the affirming voice of our Father telling us that we are His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased, then we can stop running around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to be someone we're not. We can stop looking for love in all the wrong places when we can SEE the source of love. And then we can boldly approach the throne of grace to find grace to help in times of trouble. Where else could we find grace but at the throne of grace? In the EYES of the Lord. In OUR eyes, and in the eyes of each other! It's inside. And when we know (and believe) that it's inside... it comes out naturally. It overflows out of us because it's too big for us to contain. With understanding--which is what the heart does--comes manifestation. The heart beats with love. And that's why we can see love and hear love everywhere we look and everywhere we listen!
