Know It All part 4

It's not what you know... it's what you understand. It's not what you know... it's what you believe. Because what you DO flows from what you believe. And it's not what you know... it's what you DO with what you know. Look at Matthew 9:29 in the Message Bible, "He touched their eyes and said, "Become what you believe."" This wasn't so much a command, as it was an explanation of how the Kingdom works. You become what you believe. And how glorious that Jesus touched their eyes. Opened their eyes. Because seeing is believing. What you see is what you believe. What you see is what you be. What you know is what you can throw. See, the ultimate truth of the universe--that the Father loveth the Son and hath given all things into His hand (and that we are the Son that the Father loves)--transforms. Love transforms. Knowing (and believing, and understanding) that we are unconditionally loved by the Father is what equips and empowers us to love God. And we love God by loving one another. When we believe that we are loved, we become LOVE. That's when Jesus appears... in and through and as us. Jesus said, "As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me" (John 6:57). To me this is such a revelation: We don't live FOR the Father. We live BY the Father, even as the Father lives IN us. In Him we live and move and have our being, and in us He lives and moves and has His being. It's this relationship--Jesus also said, "I and my Father are one" (John 10:30)--this unity, that allows the manifestation of the Word of God. The Word of God, or course, being Jesus... being love. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Then, through the Finished Work of the cross the Word began to dwell in OUR flesh. And now, every time we love one another with the love that we are loved with... the Word manifests. Every time we love one another Jesus appears. Because He IS love. God in the flesh. Love in a body. And when we know that we have been filled to overflowing with that love, then it comes out naturally. It's our new nature. Not a beast nature, but a love nature. Not a selfish nature, but a selfless nature. Not trying to get more knoweldge--because knowledge puffs up, and because we already know all things--but getting understanding so that we can USE what we know. So that we can BECOME what we believe. We BE transformed (into what we have already been transformed into) by the renewing of our minds. By letting the mind of Christ that's already in us BE in us. By receiving and releasing. By letting what's in us flow out of us, simply by knowing and believing that it's in there. We are the light of the world and the light shines all by itself. Our part is to make sure we're not hiding it under a basket. Our part is to know and believe that it (that HE) is shining in us and shining out of us! Knowing it all, believing it all, and sharing it all!
