Provision part 2

The internet was wonky last night. Or something. So it took a longer than usual time to upload my Rant. I say that to say this: When I was sitting here staring at it, waiting (with fingers crossed) for it to upload... I couldn't help but notice that if you break the title into two words "provision" becomes PRO vision. Which makes perfect sense, considering that seeing is believing. Considering that Jesus came to reveal the Divine Order of things to us. To reveal the Father to us. By shining the light of the world. The light of love. The light that He is. The light that WE are. Because when it comes to provision... we already have (we already ARE) everything we need. We have been blessed with all Spiritual blessings in the heavenly Chirst. We have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. We have what we need. We just don't always see it that way. Hebrews 2:8 says it like this, "Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him." See, the problem isn't the problem. Your attitude about the problem is the problem. All things ARE under His (our) feet. But we don't see things that way. Jesus--both for us and as us--overcame the world 2,000 years ago on an old rugged cross. But we're still trying to figure out how to be overcomers. We can't wrap our minds around the truth that there is nothing left to overcome. Jesus fought (and won) the war to end all wars. Which means there are no more wars left. Only the good fight of faith--laying hold of eternal life. Recieving the gift we've been given instead of robbing ourselves of that gift by trying to earn it. You can't earn a gift. You can only earn wages. And when the Bible speaks of wages it speaks of the wages of sin (unbelief) which is death. Before the cross we were dead in our trespasses and sins. Trying to earn our bread by the sweat of our brow. But now our vision has been cleared. Pro vision. We know what we have been provided with because we can see it. The first four words of Hebrews 2:9 give us the answer to the "problem." And this is why we say things like, "Jesus is the answer." Ready? All things ARE under His (our) feet. But we don't see it that way. "But we see Jesus..." As long as our faith gets us to the One who has faith... anything is possible for Him that believes. If we can see that God is our provider, and our provision, then we don't have to see the money in our bank account. For example. Because we can rest assured that we will have what we need. Because (one more time) He has already given us what we need. Remember yesterday we talked briefly about seeking first the Kingdom and His righteousness? Well, when we see what our heavenly Father is working with... we won't worry about whether its enough or not. We'll know that we have no lack because our God has no lack. We'll know that we're covered. Because we'll be able to see our provision with our pro vision!
