The Dove part 4
Seeing with doves' eyes... seeing things through the Holy Spirit... seeing things through the lense of love... is what equips and empowers us to be who we really are. The dove. The Holy Spirit. Jesus. God in the flesh. Love in a body. God in OUR flesh. Love in OUR body. The transformation--or conformation--that took place on the cross is activated, if I can say it that way, by our faith. Look at Romans 8:29, "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." See, first we were made in His image. But we didn't know what that image was. We didn't know what we looked like because we didn't know what HE looked like. It was dark, and we were void and without form. But then God spoke. He said, "Let there be light." And there was light. We could see clearly. We--like Noah--found grace in His eyes. We saw Him as He is, and we began to understand that as He is, so are we in this world. He is the firstborn of many brethren. We are His brethren. He is the head and we are the body. He lives in us. We live in Him. Love lives in us. We live in love. And when we live IN love, we live OUT love. When we BREATHE in love... we can breathe out love. We can love each other (and ourselves) with every move we make and every breath we take. We can hear the words of our heavenly Father, and we can know that we are His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. And I'm telling you, the affirmation of the Father empowers the Son. Jesus said He doesn't do anything unless He sees the Father do it. He doesn't say anything unless He hears the Father say it. And that's not about trying to walk in His foot steps. That's about faith. Because faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the Word (Jesus, love) of God. Because what you see is what you be. What you believe--either the report of the Lord of the lie of the world--is what manifests in your life. That's why the Holy Spirit--the dove--is so vitally important. He is the Spirit of truth that leads and guides us into all truth. When you know (and believe) the truth... you can straight up ignore the lie. You don't even have to fight it. You can just lay it aside. Lay aside the sin (unbelief) and the weight that so easily besets us. We don't have to get tripped up. And we don't have to get caught up trying to prove anything to anybody. Love speaks for itself (Himself). And if someone can't accept your love... shrug your shoulders and move on. I say this all the time: I'm not for everybody. And that's ok. All I need to do is let what's inside come out. All I need to do is fill myself to overflowing with what I've already been filled with. All I need to do is see things as they really are. Look with the doves' eyes and see myself (and everyone else) as doves. The light in me--the LOVE in me--responding to the light, the love, in you. That's what it means for the deep to call out to the deep. That's what it means to build relationships and connect on that true, real, Spiritual level. So first we see it, then we be it. And we see it when God--when LOVE--reveals Himself to us, and in us, and through us, and as us!
