The Journey part 5

The journey of life is not to change into something. Not to become something. The journey of life is one of discover. One of understanding who you are so that you can BE who you are WITHOUT trying to be someone you're not. Listen, as simply as I can make it: If you're accepted in the beloved--and you are--then why would you need to change? I think people try to be someone they're not in order to earn something they think they don't have. They believe the lie that says you have to DO in order to BE. They believe the lie that they're not good enough, but if they can get enough knowledge about good and evil they can stop doing evil, do good, and be better. But my question is, "If you aren't good enough to begin with, how can trying  to be better ever work?" And that's the glorious truth of the matter: You ARE good enough. I said it before and I'll say it again, "You are accepted in the beloved. You are complete in Him." That's the truth, because that's Jesus and Jesus IS the truth. The truth about God. The truth about you. And that's why I say this never-ending, eternal, everlasting, abundant journey that is Resurrection Life is a journey of discovery. As Jesus reveals Himself to us, and in us, and through us, and as us... that's when we BECOME who we are. That's when (and how) we BE transformed into what we've already BEEN transformed into. And thats what the Bible says in 1 John chapter 3 verse 2, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." First things first: We ARE the Son(s) of God. That's where we start. When we look in the mirror with an unveiled face and see the glory of God we are not changed into that image from crap to glory. We are changed into that image (of glory) from glory to glory. We start at glory. We start at complete. We start at accepted and beloved. We start at God's Son. But we don't necessarily know what that means. Not until He appears (to us, and in us, and through us, and as us). And when He does that, when we get a revelation of who Jesus is--who WE are--that's when we "be like him." Because that's when we SEE Him. And what you see is what you be. What you believe is what is true for you. What you magnify is what manifests in your life. When you stop trying to be someone you're not and just begin to mark the perfect man... that's when you can rest. That's when you can BE who you are by letting Jesus--love--be who HE is in you. He lives in you. That doesn't mean He's in a little compartment in you and He comes out at church or when you pray. That means in Him we live and move and have our being. In us HE lives and moves and has HIS being. We are One and there is no separation. He gave us His life. That's how we live. This life we live is a journey into the heart of the matter. Into God's heart beating with love in our chest. Into true relationship with the Father, as His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. The journey is not "getting" anything or "getting" anywhere. The journey is experiencing what we have and where we are. We have it all because we have Him. Because He is IN us and we are IN Him!
