The Mind part 4

I've been a little bit reluctant to go here, but hopefully I can get my point across without getting lost in some of the "religious" stuff. Romans 8:5-6 NLT, "Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace." Ok? But what I DON'T want to Rant about today is the sinful nature. I believe Jesus took away the sinful nature when He took away the sin of the world. What I want to Rant about today is the life and peace that comes from fixing your mind... by fixing your mind on things above, and not on the earth. The peace of mind and the abundant, everlasting, eternal, Resurrection Life of God that comes from letting the mind of Christ (that's already in you) BE in you. By USING what you've got. Or, as our passage of Scripture says, letting it control you. Romans 8:14 goes on to say, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." Controlled by... led by. And this is NOT to say that in order to be a Son of God you have to be led by the Spirit. Its not an if-then statement. Its not something to try to do in order to be. Its actually kind of backwards. More accurate would be, when you know you're a Son of God... you are led by the Spirit of God. The Spirit of truth that leads and guides us into all truth. The truth that God is love, and He loves you. The ultimate truth of the universe that says, "The Father loveth the Son and hath given all things into His hands." That's what God thinks. That's His thought. Because that's what He said. That's His Word. Jesus. Love. That's what IN the mind of Christ. And that's what comes out, when we fill ourselves to overflowing with what we've been filled with. When we are controlled by the Spirit instead of dominated by anything else. When we set our affection on things above and not things on the earth. Because what you feed is what will grow. What you magnify in your life is what will manifest in your life. What you see is what you be. What you think is what you say and do. So its important to know and believe the truth. Its important to stand for something... or you're fall for anything. Its important to know WHAT you believe, and WHY you believe it. The mind of Christ is kind of single minded. Its love, love, love. All day every day. Its the rock, the foundation, that everything else is built on. And sometimes its not a great idea to be stubborn. But when it comes to love... its important to know, and believe, and understand, that love never fails. Because love never gives up. And, as always, I'm not saying you should put yourself--or keep yourself--in a bad situation. Love is giving everything you have and everything you are. And once you've done that, its either enough... or its not. What I'm saying is, in order to speak life... you have to think life. You have to see things the way God sees them. You have to stop judging according to appearance and start judging righteous judgment. Letting go of things that don't line up with love, love, and more love. And focusing on (you guessed it) love, love, and more love!
