The Spirit of Truth part 2
Think about this for a minute: I think we kind of all agree that God lives in us through His Spirit, right? I've heard it said like this, "I am a spirit, I have a soul, I live in a body." And I don't want to get into the soul deal right here. There's a lot that could be said about that. The point I'm trying to make is--God IS Spirit. He IS the Spirit of truth. And as He is, so are we in this world. We don't just HAVE the Spirit of truth (that He is), we ARE the Spirit of truth (that He is). Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Where the truth--the ultimate truth of the universe that God is love and He loves you--is, there is liberty. And that Spirit, that truth, is in us. IS us! So where WE are there is liberty. Because we don't just know the truth, we don't just tell the truth, we ARE the truth. We are the proof of God's love. We were created by the God who IS love... so that He could have soemthing TO love. God wanted to express Himself, so He created us. He expressed Himself TO us. And then He planted Himself IN us. So that He could express Himself THROUGH us. The truth is love. Where there is love, there is life. And we are loved, which means we are LOVE. Remember that God is a consuming fire. Love is a consuming fire. Whatever love touches, it consumes. Leaving only itself (HIMself). Love feeds on love and burns everything else away. That's why there is liberty where the Spirit is. Where the truth is. Where WE are. Unfortunately, we seem almost preprogrammed to have a slave mentality. Love--true, sacrificial, agape love--is such a radical concept that it seems too good to be true. We're so used to the world trying to crush us that we don't even really know what to do with freedom. Which is why we see people abuse their freedom. Give 'em an inch and they take a mile. But I'm telling you, even with that sort of thing happening... freedom is better. Liberty is better. If letting people be who they are and do what they do is too hard for you, then you need to take a long look in the mirror. Because how you treat people says more about you than it does about them. If your goal is to manipulate or control... you need a new goal. Love is giving. Never getting. We already have everything we need. Because we have the Spirit of the Lord. The Spirit of truth that leads and guides us into all truth. The truth that God always has, and always will, love us. That love empowers us. To live. To love. To be who we really are by knowing who we really are. When you know you are loved, everything else falls into place. Everything else reveals itself to be in Divine Order. And I say "reveals itself" because things ARE in Divine Order. Right now. Its just a matter of seeing it. Seeing is believing. What you see is what you be. What you magnify is what manifests in your life. What you focus on is what is, in a sense, real to you. So stop looking without, and look within. The truth lives in us. God lives in us. Love lives in us. When the Spirit of truth leads and guides us into the truth, it leads us deep inside. Into the heart of the matter. Which is the heart. God's heart beating with love in our chests!
