Wisdom part 3

I can't stress how important wisdom is. Getting your head and your heart lined up is vital to living the abundant, everlasting, eternal, Resurrection Life. Why? Because "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways" (James 1:8). If you're constantly battling internally you'll never be able to rest. You'll never be able to flow. You'll never be able to live, because to live is to love and to love is to live. If you're fighting between what your head says and what your heart knows you'll just keep banging your head against the wall trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole. It won't fit. And all you'll end up with is a headache. So instead of trying to make things be the way WE think we're supposed to be... what we really need to do is see things as they really are. Look at Proverbs 4:7, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." Wisdom and understanding. I think this is SO important. Because, according to 1 John 2:20, "...ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things." So the trick isn't WHAT we know. We know the ultimate truth of the universe--The Father loveth the Son and hath given all things into His hand. The trick is UNDERSTANDING what we know. Getting past head knowledge--knowing ABOUT God--and into heart knowledge--KNOWING God. Getting the head and the heart to stop fighting and line up. Letting the Holy Spirit lead and guide us INTO all truth. Again, we know all things. It's not about getting anything. Jesus did it all so we could get it all. Now we have it all. It's about understanding what we have. Receiving the gift so we can unwrap it and enjoy it. So we can share it with those around us. Filling ourselves with the fulness of God by letting Him love us so big and so hard that it overflows naturally. That's who we live His life--by letting HIM live it in us, and through us, and as us. Presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice and basically saying, "Daddy, I trust you. Do what you wanna do. Do it IN me, and do it THROUGH me, and do it AS me." And watch this: If wisdom is understanding the truth that we already know... the opposite of that is denying what we know. Believing the lie even though the truth is so much more excellent. Psalm 14:1 says it like this, "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God..." And if you take the italics out it reads, "The fool hath said in his heart, no God." Either way it's a denial of the truth. And either way it's as foolish as could be. Now add this to that: "Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?" (Galatians 3:3). There's "the battle" again. Spirit and flesh. An angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. The heart and the head. But it can't be a battle. It shouldn't be, and it doesn't need to be. Becasue the Word was made flesh. And the Word dwells in flesh. People always say God works in mysterious ways, but I'm convinced that God works through people. When His Word comes to life in our flesh that's when love becomes charity. That's when an idea becomes an action. That's when we share what we've got. Not loving people in a way that would help us but doesn't help them. Not expecting people to receive or return our love. But loving (worshipping) in Spirit and in Truth. Loving people how THEY need to be loved. Not banging our head against the wall, but simply meeting people where they're at and loving them right there. Loving people FROM the heart, WITH the head. Letting God do what He wants to do. Not being a fool, but being wise!
